Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday, 31 August 2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 0.67% to record EGP 533.881 bn compared to EGP 537.475 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.08% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 132.970 mn which represents 3% of the total trading volume today after 3.63 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.20% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with a decrease ,However turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.62% to record 35.886 points “EGX70” decreased by 1.45% to record 10.978 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 1.69% to record 14.605 points.
