Attijariwafa, ADIB-Egypt, and NBK-Egypt Fastest-Growing Foreign Banks in terms of corporate deposits in the last 3 years

Attijariwafa topped the list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt by corporate deposits over the past 3 years, with a growth rate of 310.7%.

ADIB-Egypt came second with 298.5%, followed by NBK-Egypt in third place with 273.5%. ADCB and QNB-Egypt secured the fourth and fifth spots with a growth rate of 204.5% and 161.6%, respectively.

According to First Bank's list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt based on corporate deposits over the past 3 years (2022–2024), Attijariwafa Bank Egypt ranked first with a growth rate of 310.7%, recording EGP 70.32 billion in 2024, up from EGP 17.12 billion in 2021

The ranking includes 11 foreign banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data was available for the three years. All of them achieved positive growth in corporate deposits.

Notably, ABC and FABMISR achieved 668.3% and 360.2% with a growth rate over the last 3 years after undergoing acquisitions during this period, they were excluded to maintain the accuracy of comparison.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» came second with a growth rate of 298.5%, reaching EGP 113.48 billion in 2024, up from EGP 28.48 billion in 2021.

National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «NBK-Egypt» ranked third with a growth rate of 273.5%, recording EGP 93.95 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 25.16 billion in 2021.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank «ADCB» followed in fourth place with a growth rate of 204.5%, as corporate deposits rose to EGP 93.47 billion in 2024, from EGP 30.70 billion in 2021.

Qatar national Bank-Egypt «QNB-Egypt» came fifth, averaging 161.6% growth, with corporate deposits reaching EGP 447.58 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 171.11 billion in 2021.

Credit Agricole Bank-Egypt ranked sixth with a corporate deposits growth rate of 157.4% over the past three years, reaching EGP 64.09 billion in 2024, up from EGP 24.90 billion in 2021.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» followed in seventh place, with a growth rate of 156.2%, as corporate deposits rose to EGP 85.95 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 33.55 billion in 2021.

Kuwait Finance House-Egypt came in eighth, recording a 126.1% growth rate, with corporate deposits reaching EGP 91.48 billion in 2024, versus EGP 40.47 billion in 2021.

In ninth place HSBC reported 95.0% growth rate, which corporate deposits increasing to EGP 96.41 billion in 2024, up from EGP 49.44 billion in 2021.

Emirates NDB–Egypt secured the tenth spot, with a growth rate of 85.9%, rising to EGP 82.09 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 44.15 billion in 2021.
