EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 38.809 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during, Tuesday 2 Septemebr 2025, the index reached 38.809 points, compared to 38.634 points at Yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 7 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it increased against US dollar, Euro, pound sterling, Japanese Yen, Chinese Yuan, UAE dirham and Saudi riyal .

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt fell from EGP 48.64 to EGP 48.54 , while the average buying decreased from EGP 48.54  to EGP 48.47 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt fell from EGP 57.04 to EGP 56.53 while the average buying fell from EGP 56.91 to EGP 56.40 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the pound sterling in Egypt fell  from EGP 65.83 to EGP 65.00 while the average buying fell from EGP 65.65 to EGP 64.84 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt decresased  from EGP 33.08 to EGP 32.67 while the average buying decreased from  EGP 33.00 to EGP 32.60 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan fell from EGP 6.81 to EGP 6.79 while the average buying price fell from EGP 6.80 to EGP 6.78  at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt fell from EGP 13.24 to EGP 13.22 while the average buying fell from EGP 13.21 to EGP 13.19 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.96 to EGP 12.94  while the average buying fell from  EGP 12.93 to EGP 12.91  at the end of today's trading.
