EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 38.992 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index recorded an increase against major currencies by the close of trading on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, rising to 38.992 points at the end of the day, compared to 38.905 points at the close of Tuesday’s trading.
The rise in the pound index came as a result of its increase against the US dollar, Euro, Pound sterling, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Saudi riyal, and UAE dirham at the end of today’s trading session.
The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 48.25 to EGP 48.21, while the average buying price in Egypt fell from EGP 48.15 to EGP 48.11at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Euro fell from EGP 56.90 to EGP 56.66 by the close of today’s trading, while the average buying price in Egypt decreased from EGP 56.78 to EGP 56.54.
The average selling price of the pound sterling declined from EGP 65.18 to EGP 64.94 by the end of the day, while the average buying price fell from EGP 65.03 to EGP 64.79.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen decreased from EGP 32.65 to EGP 32.48 by the close of trading, while the average buying price fell from EGP 32.58 to EGP 32.41.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan declined from EGP 6.78 to EGP 6.76 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 6.77 to EGP 6.75.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.86 to EGP 12.85 by the close of trading, while the average buying price fell from EGP 12.83 to EGP 12.82 at the end of the day.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham decreased from EGP 13.13 to EGP 13.12 by the close of trading, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 13.10 to EGP 13.09.
