Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 13 October 2025 with a increase in the market cap by 0.46% to record EGP 572.64 bn compared to EGP 570.03 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.14% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 562.70 Mn which represents 8.75% of the total trading volume today after 11.13 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.68% of the total trading volume.

The Egyptian Exchange closed today’s trading session with all indices ending in green, supported by net foreign purchases amounting to EGP 258.8 million.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.75% to record 37.376 points, “EGX70” rose by 0.03% to record 11.385 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.12% to record 15.004 points.
