EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 39.564 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index recorded an increase against major currencies by the end of trading on Monday, October 13, 2025, as the index value rose to 39.564 points, compared to 39.373 points at the end of Sunday’s session.
The rise in the pound index came as a result of the appreciation of the Egyptian pound against the US dollar, euro, British pound, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, UAE dirham, and Saudi riyal by the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar declined from EGP 47.93 to EGP 47.75, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 47.83 to EGP 47.65 at today’s close.
The average selling price of the euro fell from EGP 55.71 to EGP 55.31, while the average buying price decreased from EGP 55.57 to EGP 55.19 by the end of the session.
The average selling price of the British pound declined from EGP 64.04 to EGP 63.70, and the average buying price dropped from EGP 63.89 to EGP 63.56 at the end of today’s trading.
The Japanese yen fell from EGP 31.71 to EGP 31.40 in today’s session, while the average buying price declined from EGP 31.63 to EGP 31.33 by the close of trading.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan also decreased from EGP 6.71 to EGP 6.69, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 6.70 to EGP 6.68 by the end of today’s trading.
Similarly, the average selling price of the UAE dirham declined from EGP 13.05 to EGP 13.00, while the average buying price fell from EGP 13.02 to EGP 12.97 at the end of today’s session.
Meanwhile, the average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.78 to EGP 12.73, and the average buying price dropped from EGP 12.75 to EGP 12.70 by the close of trading.
