Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 30 October 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 1.44% to record EGP 601.17 bn compared to EGP 592.63 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.06% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 600.01 Mn which represents 9.84% of the total trading volume today after 14.39 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.95% of the total trading volume.
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed today’s trading session with mixed performance, as the EGX30 and EGX70 indices ended higher, while the EGX100 index declined. Meanwhile, foreign investors continued their selling trend, recording a net outflow of EGP 130.2 million.
The EGX30, the main benchmark index of the Egyptian Exchange, rose by 0.10% to close at 38,408 points, the EGX70 index, which tracks medium-sized stocks, inched up by 0.05% to reach 12,165 points.
Conversely, the broader EGX100 index slipped by 0.04% to settle at 16,010 points by the end of today’s session.
