EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 40.064 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index recorded an increase against the major currencies by the end of trading today, Sunday, 16 November 2025, as the value of the index rose to 40.064 points by the end of today’s trading, compared to 40.030 points at the end of last Thursday’s trading.
The increase in the pound index came as a result of its rise against the US dollar, the euro, the British pound, the Chinese yuan, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal, while it remained stable against the Japanese yen by the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar declined from 47.23 pounds to 47.18 pounds by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price decreased from 47.13 pounds to 47.09 pounds at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the euro also decreased from 54.86 pounds to 54.84 pounds by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price declined from 54.74 pounds to 54.71 pounds at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the British pound fell from 62.20 pounds to 62.18 pounds by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price decreased from 61.05 pounds to 62.00 pounds by the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan declined from 6.65 pounds to 6.64 pounds by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price in Egypt decreased from 6.64 pounds to 6.63 pounds by the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham dropped from 12.86 pounds to 12.84 pounds by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price declined from 12.83 pounds to 12.82 pounds by the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal decreased from 12.59 pounds to 12.58 pounds by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price declined from 12.56 pounds to 12.55 pounds by the end of today’s trading.
Meanwhile, the average selling price of the Japanese yen remained stable at 30.53 pounds by the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price decreased from 30.47 pounds to 30.46 pounds by the end of today’s trading.
