Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 25 November 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.01% to record EGP 629.99 bn compared to EGP 626.94 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.86% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 459.22 Mn which represents 6.02% of the total trading volume today after 12.13 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.28% of the total trading volume.
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed today’s trading session with the main benchmark index EGX30 edging up, while both the EGX70 and EGX100 indices declined, amid net foreign purchases amounting to EGP 130.2 million.
The EGX30 main index rose by 0.45% to close at 40.284 points, while the EGX70 index for small and mid-cap stocks fell by 1.37% to 12.429 points, Meanwhile, the broader EGX100 index inched up by 0.90%, ending the session at 16.449 points.
