The pound index rises against major currencies to 39.700 points at the end of trading on Sunday, 30 November

The Egyptian Pound Index recorded an increase against major currencies at the end of trading on Sunday, 30 November 2025, as the index rose to 39.700 points at the end of today’s session, compared to 39.659 points at the end of last Thursday’s trading.
The rise in the pound index came as a result of its appreciation against the US dollar, the euro, the British pound, the Japanese yen, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal, while it remained stable against the Chinese yuan at the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the US dollar declined from EGP 47.69 to EGP 47.63 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 47.59 to EGP 47.53 at the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the euro also decreased from EGP 55.27 to EGP 55.23 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price fell from EGP 55.14 to EGP 55.11 at the end of trading.
The average selling price of the British pound declined from EGP 63.11 to EGP 63.06 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price decreased from EGP 62.97 to EGP 62.91 at the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen also fell from EGP 30.51 to EGP 30.50 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 30.45 to EGP 30.43 at the end of trading.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham decreased from EGP 12.98 to EGP 12.96 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price declined from EGP 12.95 to EGP 12.94 at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal also fell from EGP 12.71 to EGP 12.69 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price declined from EGP 12.68 to EGP 12.66 at the end of trading.
Meanwhile, the average selling price of the Chinese yuan remained stable at EGP 6.73 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price in Egypt remained stable at EGP 6.71 at the end of trading.
