Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 14 December 2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 0.78% to record EGP 671.33 bn compared to EGP 676.60 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.36% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 214.25 Mn which represents 3.10% of the total trading volume today after 5.31 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.20% of the total trading volume.
The Egyptian Exchange closed today’s trading session with all indices ending in green, supported by net foreign purchases amounting to EGP 130.2 million.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.07% to record 42.249 points, “EGX70” rose by 0.54% to record 13.052 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.51% to record 17.264 points.
