Foreign exchange rates at the end of Sunday trading

The foreign exchange rate witnessed a decrease at the end of Sunday 4 January 2026 trading at Egypt's major banks.

First Bank monitors foreign currency rates in major banks in Egypt:

U.S. dollar

The US dollar rate against EGP recorded EGP 47.5337 for buying and EGP 47.6634 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest dollar rate for buying was in «EBank» at EGP 47.70.

The lowest rate for selling was in «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 47.56.

Euro

The Euro rate against EGP recorded EGP 55.7048 for buying and EGP 55.8663 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank’s website.

The highest Euro rate for buying was in «QNB-Egypt» at EGP 55.91.

The lowest rate for selling was in «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 55.95.

Pound Sterling

The pound sterling rate against EGP stands at EGP 63.9614 for buying and EGP 64.1740 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest pound sterling rate for buying was in «QNB-Egypt» at EGP 64.13.

While the lowest rate for selling was in «HSBC-Egypt» at EGP 64.19.

Saudi Riyals

The Saudi riyal rate against EGP today in Egypt recorded EGP 12.6743 for buying and EGP 12.7096 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest rate for buying today was in «IDB» at EGP 12.89.

The lowest rate for selling was in «Credit Agricole» at EGP 12.69.

Kuwaiti Dinar

Kuwaiti dinar rate today in Egypt reached EGP 154.4908 for buying and EGP 155.1645 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest rate for buying the Kuwaiti dinar was in «saib» at EGP 154.69.

The lowest price for selling was in «Credit Agricole» at EGP 154.67.

Emirati Dirham

The rate of Emirati dirham today in Egypt recorded EGP 12.9417 for buying and EGP 12.9788 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.

The highest rate for buying the Emirati dirham today was in «EBank» at EGP 12.99.

The lowest price for selling the Emirati dirham today was in «Credit Agricole», and «Emirates-NBD» at EGP 12.96.
