Foreign exchange rates at the beginning of Thursday trading

The foreign exchange rates witnessed a decision to start trading on Thursday 22 January 2026, and we monitor the currency rates in Egyptian banks through the following report:

US Dollar

The price of the dollar against the Egyptian pound today recorded 47.3371 pounds for purchase and 47.4369 pounds for sale, according to the latest data issued on the website of the Central Bank of Egypt.

The highest price to buy the dollar in «EBank», «ADIB- Egypt», came at the level of 47.54 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.

The lowest selling price of the dollar in «Emirates- NBD» was at 47.33 pounds at the beginning of Egyptian banks’ transactions today.

Euro

The price of the euro against the Egyptian pound today recorded 55.4886 pounds for purchase and 55.6102 pounds for sale, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank website.

The highest price to buy the euro in «ADIB- Egypt», «EBank» at the level of 55.67 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.

The lowest selling price of the euro at «ADCB», «QNB» was recorded at a level of 55.63 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.

British Pound Sterling

As for the pound sterling, its price today against the Egyptian pound recorded 63.4933 pounds for purchase and 63.6460 for sale, according to the latest data issued on the website of the Central Bank of Egypt.

The highest price to buy the pound sterling in «ADIB- Egypt» came at the level of 63.85 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.

While the lowest selling price of the pound sterling at «Emirates- NBD» was recorded at a level of 63.69 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.

Saudi Riyal

The price of the Saudi riyal today recorded 12.6229 pounds for purchase and 12.6502 pounds for sale, according to data issued on the website of the Central Bank of Egypt.

The highest price to buy the Saudi riyal at «ADIB- Egypt» reached 12.67 pounds at the beginning of Egyptian banks’ transactions today.

The lowest selling price of the Saudi riyal in «Emirates- NBD» came at the level of 12.62 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.

Kuwaiti Dinar

The price of the Kuwaiti dinar today in Egypt recorded 154.8990 pounds for purchase and 155.2761 pounds for sale, according to the latest data issued on the website of the Central Bank of Egypt.

The highest price for the purchase of the Kuwaiti dinar at «AIB» at the level of 154.93 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.

The lowest selling price of the Kuwaiti dinar in «KFH- Egypt» came at a level of 154.39 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.

UAE Dirham

While the price of the UAE dirham today in Egypt recorded 12.8872 pounds to buy, and 12.9157 pounds to sell, according to the latest data issued on the website of the Central Bank of Egypt.

The highest price to buy the UAE dirham today at «ADIB- Egypt» at the level of 12.94 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.

The lowest selling price of the UAE dirham was recorded today at «Emirates- NBD» at a level of 12.90 pounds at the beginning of the transactions of Egyptian banks today.
