Suez Canal Bank, «ADIB», and «NBE» were the fastest-growing banks in net fee and commission income during the first 9M of 2025

Net fee and commission income declines at 6 banks during the first nine months of 2025
The «First Bank» ranking of the fastest-growing banks in net fee and commission income during the first nine months of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the list, recording a growth rate of 58.7%, with net fee and commission income reaching 1.02 EGP bn during the first nine months of 2025, compared to 644.33 EGP bn in the corresponding period of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank–Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» ranked second, as its net fee and commission income rose by 40.7%, reaching 2.04 EGP bn during the first nine months of 2025, compared to 1.45 EGP bn during the same period of 2024.
As for third place, it was secured by the National Bank of Egypt, which reported net fee and commission income of approximately 26.21 EGP bn during the first nine months of 2025, compared to 18.98 EGP bn in the corresponding period of 2024, achieving a growth rate of 38.1%.
The «First Bank» ranking monitored the net fee and commission income of 26 banks operating within the Egyptian banking sector for which financial statements were available during the first nine months of 2025. The analysis showed that 20 banks recorded positive growth rates, while 6 banks experienced a notable decline during the period under review.
The ranking highlighted the private sector’s success in dominating the top positions, as private banks captured 7 spots among the fastest-growing 10 banks, namely: Suez Canal Bank, «ADIB», «Al Baraka Bank», «Bank of Alexandria», «FABMISR», «ADCB», and «CIB».
Meanwhile, state-owned banks secured 3 positions among the fastest-growing 10 banks, with the National Bank of Egypt ranking third, Banque Misr taking fourth place, and the Housing and Development Bank ranking fifth.
At the level of banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange EGX, they accounted for half of the positions among the fastest-growing 10 banks, namely: Suez Canal Bank, «ADIB», «Housing and Development Bank», «Al Baraka Bank», and «CIB».
As for foreign banking groups operating in Egypt, they managed to secure 5 positions among the top 10, represented by: «ADIB», «Al Baraka Bank», «Bank of Alexandria», «FABMISR», and «ADCB».
Islamic banks further strengthened their presence, capturing two positions among the fastest-growing 10 banks, with ADIB-Egypt ranking second and Al Baraka Bank securing sixth place.
On the other hand, net fee and commission income declined at 6 banks during the first nine months of 2025, namely: «Arab African International Bank», «Attijariwafa Bank», «EBank», «Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait–Egypt», «Kuwait Finance House–Egypt», and «BANK NXT».
It is worth noting that all figures and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are based on the standalone financial statements announced by each bank for the first nine months of 2025.
