EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 39.772 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index fell against major currencies at the end of trading on Monday 2 February 2026, where the value of the index rose to 39,772 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 39,733 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on Sunday.
The rise of the Pound index came as a result of its rise against the dollar, the UAE dirham, the Saudi riyal,the pound sterling, the Japanese yen, and the euro, while it settled against the Chinese yuan at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 47.18 to EGP 47.12 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 47.08 to EGP 47.02 at the end of the day's trading.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham fell from EGP 12.84 to EGP 12.83 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt fell from EGP 12.81 to EGP 12.80 by the close of trading.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.58 to EGP 12.56 at the end of today’s trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 12.55 to EGP 12.53 at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 64.59 to EGP 64.55 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 64.44 to EGP 64.38 .
The average selling price of the Japanese yen also fell from EGP 30.48 to EGP 30.42 at the end of today’s trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 30.41 to EGP 30.35 at the end of today’s trading.
the average selling price of the euro fell from EGP 55.91 to EGP 55.86 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 55.78 to EGP 55.74 at the end of today's trading.
While The average selling price of the Chinese yuan stabilized at EGP 6.78 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price stabilized at EGP 6.77 .
