Suez Canal Bank, Kuwait Finance House – Egypt, and EGBANK recorded the fastest growth in personal financing during the first nine months of 2025
Suez Canal Bank tops the list, while Kuwait Finance House – Egypt ranks second.
The private sector continues to dominate the top ranks, with 9 private banks among the top ten, compared to only one seat for public-sector.

The top ten Islamic banks strengthen their presence, securing 3 positions among the top 10 fastest-growing banks.
The First Bank list of the fastest-growing banks in personal financing during the first nine months of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the ranking, after its personal financing portfolio surged by 82.3%, reaching 9.70 EGP bn by the end of September 2025, compared to 5.32 EGP bn at the end of 2024.
Kuwait Finance House – Egypt secured second place, with its personal financing portfolio rising by 66.6% during the first nine months of 2025, to reach 7.09 EGP bn by the end of last September, compared to 4.25 EGP bn at the end of 2024.
The Egyptian Gulf Bank EGBANK captured third place, as its personal financing portfolio increased by 64.7% during the first nine months of 2025, reaching 21.48 EGP bn by the end of September 2025, compared to 13.04 EGP bn at the end of 2024.
The ranking highlighted the continued dominance of the private sector, with private banks occupying 9 positions among the top 10 fastest-growing banks. These included: Suez Canal Bank, Kuwait Finance House – Egypt, EGBANK, ADIB, BANK NXT, SAIB, Al Baraka Bank, Arab African International Bank, and Emirates NBD – Egypt.
As for public-sector banks, they secured only one position among the top ten, with Banque Misr ranking ninth.
Listed banks on the Egyptian Exchange managed to capture half of the positions among the top 10 fastest-growing banks, represented by: Suez Canal Bank, EGBANK, ADIB-Egypt, SAIB, and Al Baraka Bank.
Regarding Gulf banking groups operating in Egypt, they dominated 4 positions among the top ten fastest-growing banks, namely: Kuwait Finance House, ADIB-Egypt, Al Baraka Bank, and Emirates NBD – Egypt.
Meanwhile, Islamic banks secured 3 positions among the top 10 fastest-growing banks. Kuwait Finance House – Egypt ranked second, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB-Egypt) came in fourth, while Al Baraka Bank ranked seventh.
It is worth noting that all figures and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are based on the standalone published financial statements of each bank as of the end of September 2025.
