The First Bank list of the fastest-growing banks in customer financing, adjusted for exchange rate impact during the first 9 months of 2025, revealed that Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB Egypt) took the lead with an adjusted growth rate of 42.6%. Its financing portfolio reached 142.95 billion Egyptian pounds by the end of September 2025.
Suez Canal Bank ranked second with a growth rate of 41.1% after neutralizing the exchange rate impact during the first 9 months of 2025, with its total customer loans reaching 109.61 billion Egyptian pounds by the end of September 2025.
BANK NXT secured the third position, achieving a growth rate of 39.6% after adjusting for exchange rate fluctuations during the first 9 months of 2025, while its customer loan portfolio stood at 44.78 billion Egyptian pounds by the end of September 2025.
This ranking illustrates the real growth volume of customer financing portfolios for banks operating in the Egyptian banking system during the first 9 months of 2025. It is worth noting that the First Bank list included 24 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which the necessary financial data were available.
The list revealed the dominance of the private sector over the top ten spots with a total absence of public banks. The ranking of private banks was as follows: ADIB Egypt, Suez Canal Bank, BANK NXT, EGBANK, CIB, FABMISR, Emirates NBD, saib, Arab African International Bank (AAIB), and QNB Egypt.
Islamic banks secured one spot among the 10 fastest-growing banks in customer financing after neutralizing the exchange rate impact, with ADIB Egypt ranking first.
As for Arab banking groups operating in Egypt, they captured 4 of the top 10 fastest-growing spots, including: ADIB Egypt, FABMISR, Emirates NBD, and QNB Egypt.
Regarding banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), they controlled 6 seats within the top ten: ADIB Egypt, Suez Canal Bank, EGBANK, CIB, saib, and QNB Egypt.
