The First Bank list of private sector banks most focused on corporate deposits at the end of September 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the list with a concentration ratio of 82.53%. Its corporate deposit portfolio recorded approximately 148.30 billion, while its total customer deposits reached 179.69 billion Egyptian pounds at the end of last September.
ADCB Egypt secured the second position, as 80.19% of its total customer deposit portfolio was concentrated in corporate deposits, valued at 111.93 billion Egyptian pounds, while its customer deposit portfolio recorded about 139.59 billion Egyptian pounds at the end of September 2025.
EGBANK ranked third with a concentration ratio of 78.33%, after its corporate deposit portfolio recorded about 88.70 billion Egyptian pounds, while its total customer deposits reached 113.24 billion Egyptian pounds at the end of September 2025.
The list monitors bank trends in forming their deposit portfolios across 21 private banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data was available for the period under analysis. Specifically, it looks at the diversity in offering certificates and products to attract more customers. The list relies on the corporate deposits to total deposits ratio to provide an indicator of the extent to which a bank’s deposit portfolio is concentrated in corporate deposits, according to the standalone financial statements announced by each bank.
The list revealed that banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange captured 4 seats among the top 10 private sector banks most focused on corporate deposits, which are: Suez Canal Bank, EGBANK, Credit Agricole, and saib.
Regarding foreign banking groups operating in Egypt, they recorded a strong presence by capturing 7 seats among the top ten, including: ADCB, FABMISR, KFH Egypt, Bank ABC, ABK Egypt, Attijariwafa Bank, and Credit Agricole.
As for Islamic banks, they reserved a single seat among the top 10 private sector banks most focused on corporate deposits, with KFH Egypt ranking fifth.
It is worth noting that private sector banks are those where the total private capital contribution exceeds the 50% threshold, according to data from the Egyptian Ministry of Public Business Sector.
