Egypt's domestic liquidity grows by 27.14% 22-end

The latest data of the Central Bank of Egypt revealed an increase in domestic liquidity in the banking sector during 2022 with 27.14%, to record 7.403 trillion pounds at the end of last December, compared to 5.822 trillion pounds at the end of 2021, with an increase of 1.580 trillion pounds.
On a monthly basis, liquidity jumped by 1.17%, with an increase of 85.728 billion pounds, to record 7.403 trillion pounds at the end of December 2022, compared to 7.317 trillion pounds at the end of the previous November.
The money supply reached 1.740 trillion pounds by the end of December 2022, compared to 1.382 trillion pounds by the end of 2021, with 25.85% growth rate , an increase of 357.3 billion pounds.
Currency in circulation outside the banking sector increased by the end of last year, with 18.43% growth rate, from EGP 701.9 billion at the end of 2021 to EGP 831.2 at the end of last December, with an increase of EGP 129.3 billion.
