Foreign Exchange Rates Stabilize at Close of Egyptian Banks Trading on Tuesday
Foreign currency rates recorded notable increases at the close of trading in Egyptian banks on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The following report highlights the latest exchange rates:
US Dollar
The average exchange rate of the US dollar rose against the Egyptian pound today, reaching EGP 53.6831 for buying and EGP 53.8231 for selling, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Egypt.
The highest buying price for the dollar was recorded at National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) at EGP 53.77. The lowest selling price was recorded at Emirates NBD at EGP 53.67.
Euro
The euro also increased against the Egyptian pound, recording EGP 62.7502 for buying and EGP 62.9193 for selling, based on the latest Central Bank data.
The highest buying price for the euro was recorded at NBK at EGP 62.79. The lowest selling price was recorded at Emirates NBD at EGP 62.78.
British Pound
The British pound rose during today’s trading to EGP 72.7084 for buying and EGP 72.9196 for selling, according to the Central Bank of Egypt.
The highest buying price was recorded at NBK at EGP 72.66. The lowest selling price was recorded at Emirates NBD at EGP 72.72.
Saudi Riyal
The Saudi riyal also increased, reaching EGP 14.3067 for buying and EGP 14.3448 for selling, according to official data.
The highest buying price was recorded at Al Ahli Kuwaiti Bank (ABK Egypt) at EGP 14.32. The lowest selling price was recorded at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Emirates NBD at EGP 14.32.
Kuwaiti Dinar
The Kuwaiti dinar rose to EGP 175.1489 for buying and EGP 175.6630 for selling, according to the latest Central Bank data.
The highest buying price was recorded at HSBC at EGP 175.20. The lowest selling price was recorded at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) at EGP 174.85.
UAE Dirham
The UAE dirham also increased, recording EGP 14.6148 for buying and EGP 14.6537 for selling, according to official data.
