Foreign exchange rates at the beginning of Wednesday trading
Foreign currency exchange rates remained stable at the start of trading in Egyptian banks on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The following report details the exchange rates in Egyptian banks:
US Dollar
The average price of the US dollar rose against the Egyptian pound, reaching EGP 53.6831 for buying and EGP 53.8231 for selling, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Egypt.
The highest buying price was recorded at «NBK-Egypt» at EGP 53.77 .
The lowest selling price was recorded at «Emirates NBD» at EGP 53.67.
Euro
The euro also increased, recording EGP 62.7502 for buying and EGP 62.9193 for selling, according to the Central Bank.
The highest buying price was at «NBK-Egypt» at EGP 62.79 .
The lowest selling price was at «Emirates NBD» at EGP 62.78 .
British Pound
The British pound saw increase, reaching EGP 72.7084 for buying and EGP 72.9196 for selling, according to the Central Bank.
The highest buying price was at «NBK-Egypt» at EGP 72.66 .
The lowest selling price was at «Emirates NBD» at EGP 72.72 .
Saudi Riyal
The Saudi riyal recorded a slight rise, reaching EGP 14.3067 for buying and EGP 14.3448 for selling, according to the Central Bank.
The highest buying price was at «ABK – Egypt» at EGP 14.32 .
The lowest selling price was at «Emirates NBD», «ADCB» at EGP 14.32 .
Kuwaiti Dinar
The Kuwaiti dinar increased to EGP 175.1489 for buying and EGP 175.6630 for selling, according to the Central Bank.
The highest buying price was at «HSBC» at EGP 175.20 .
The lowest selling price was at «FABMISR» at EGP 174.85 .
UAE Dirham
The UAE dirham also rose, reaching EGP 14.6148 for buying and EGP 14.6537 for selling, according to the Central Bank.
