EGX30 beginning Wednesday with 1.78% increase in benchmark index

The market capitalization of listed shares in the Egyptian Exchange’s main market recorded EGP 3.756 trillion at the start of trading today, Wednesday, May 6.

The main index, EGX30, opened today’s session at 52.557 points and increased by 1.78% in early trading to reach 53.493 points.

Investors traded on 216 stocks, of which 150 rose, 32 declined, and 34 remained unchanged.

Trading volume reached approximately 363 million shares executed through 59 transactions, with a total trading value of about EGP 2.62 billion.
