EGX30 beginning Tuesday with 0.32% decrease in benchmark index

The market capitalization of listed equities on the Egyptian Exchange’s main market reached EGP 3.821 trillion at the start of trading on tuesday, May 12, 2026.

The benchmark EGX30 decreased by 0.32% to close at 54.628 points.

The main index, EGX30, opened today’s session at 54.475 points and increased by 0.32% in early trading to reach 54.300 points.

Investors traded on 218 stocks, of which 105 rose, 77 declined, and 36 remained unchanged.

Trading volume reached approximately 639 million shares executed through 71 transactions, with a total trading value of about EGP 3.12 billion.
