Currency rates at the start of Thursday trading

The foreign exchange rates witnessed stability at the start of Thursday 9 July 2026 trading at Egyptian banks. First Bank monitors currency rates in Egyptian banks through the following report:

US Dollar

The average price of the US dollar recorded a increase against the Egyptian pound yesterday, reaching EGP 49.57 for buying and EGP 49.67 for selling, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Egypt.

The highest buying price was recorded at «NXT» at EGP 49.60 at the start of Egyptian bank trading today.

The lowest selling price was recorded at «ADIB» at EGP 48.94 at the start of Egyptian bank trading today.

Euro

The euro recorded a increase against the Egyptian pound yesterday, reaching EGP 56.52 for buying and EGP 56.64  for selling, according to the latest data from the Central Bank.

The highest buying price was at «SAIB» at EGP 56.62 at the start of Egyptian bank trading today.

The lowest selling price was at «ADIB» at EGP 55.99 at the start of Egyptian bank trading today.

British Pound

The British pound also increase against the Egyptian pound yesterday, reaching EGP 66.12 for buying and EGP 66.27 for selling, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Egypt.

The highest buying price was at «SAIB» at EGP 66.39 at the start of Egyptian bank trading today.

The lowest selling price was at «ADIB» at EGP 65.36 at the start of Egyptian bank trading today.

Saudi Riyal

The Saudi riyal recorded a increase by the close of trading yesterday, reaching EGP 13.20 for buying and EGP 13.22 for selling, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Egypt.
