Agriculture Bank invests EGP 364.2mn into Mortgage finance by Jan-end
The Mortgage finance Fund report revealed that mortgage finance granted by the Agricultural Bank of Egypt increased to 364.3 million pounds by the end of January 2023, obtaining 0.7% of the total financing.
The number of beneficiaries reached 2,408,000 clients by the end of last January.
However, the total financing provided by banks rose to 53.186 billion pounds by the end of January 2023, through 22 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector.
The head of the Mortgage Finance Fund indicated exclusively to First Bank that the number of clients benefiting from Mortgage finance in banks reached 467.550 clients, which is approximately 95.8% of the total clients who benefited Mortgage finance during the past month.
