alBaraka Bank Egypt topped FirstBank list with a growth rate of 46.15% over the past year, to record the bank’s total loans portfolio of EGP 35.4 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP24.2 bn at the end of December. 2021.

Housing and Development Bank came in second place with 41.7% over the past year, after the bank’s total loans portfolio increased to EGP38.2 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP26.9 bn at the end of December 2021.

Commercial International Bank ranked third, with 34.06% over the past year, after the bank’s total loans portfolio recorded EGP 218.6 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 163.1 bn at the end of December 2021.

Suez Canal Bank ranked fourth after its total loans portfolio jumped by 25.13% over the past year, to record EGP 32.1 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 25.7 bn at the end of December 2021.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt came in fifth place, with a growth rate of 25.04% over the past year, after its total loans portfolio recorded EGP 59.7 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 47.7 bn at the end of December 2021.
