Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 1 March with increased in the market cap by 1.13% or EGP 283.054 billion compared to EGP 279.904 billion at the end Tuesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 328.250 million which represents 14.96% of the total trading volume today after 9.459 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.42% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreases and turnover amounted EGP 127.5 million on shares.
The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increased by 0.71% at 17.128 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Rose by 1.42% to record 3.026 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.13% to record 4.546 points.
