Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday’s closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 8 February with increase in the market cap by 1.12% or EGP 285.634 billion compared to EGP 282.461 billion at the end of Tuesday’s session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 28.12% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 356.752 million which represents 18.5% of the total trading volume today after 8.494 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.65% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Wednesday’s trading session with increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 51.8 million on shares
