The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 29 March with increase in the market cap by 1.89% or EGP 256.345 billion compared to EGP 251.758 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.65% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 266.392 million which represents 13.15% of the total trading volume today after 7.664 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.92% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 52 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 3.17% at 16.411 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.25% to record 2.845 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.95%to record 4.282 points.
