ADCB Egypt tops Egyptian banks in terms of Asset growth during 2022
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank - Egypt was topped First Bank list of the fastest growing banks in total assets during the past year, at a rate of 78.20%, after its portfolio jumped to EGP86.17 bn at the end of 2022, compared to EGP48.36 bn at the end of 2021, an increase of EGP37.81 bn.
These strong results confirm that the bank continues to lead growth in the asset market, as the bank also ranked first on First Bank list of the fastest growing banks in assets by the end of 2021.
This was reflected in its share in the asset market, as it jumped to 0.76% of the total banking sector assets by the end of 2022, compared to 0.56% by the end of 2021.
Asset Portfolio of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt in various foreign currencies witnessed a remarkable growth, as the bank's assets in US dollars jumped to EGP10.54 bn at the end of 2022, compared to EGP 4.90 bn at the end of 2021, achieving a growth rate of 114.97%, and an increase of EGP5.64. bn.
The bank's assets in Euro increased by 225.75%, to reach EGP400.48 mn at the end of last year, compared to EGP122.94 mn at the end of 2021, an increase of EGP277.54 mn.
Asset portfolio in EGP increased by 73.54%, to reach EGP75.15 bn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP43.31 bn by the end of 2021, an increase of EGP31.85 bn.
The assets in pounds sterling, grew until they jumped to EGP14.55 mn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP10.67 mn by the end of 2021, a growth rate of 36.43%, and an increase of EGP3.89 mn.
The bank's assets in other foreign currencies increased by 423.93%, to reach EGP57.8 mn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP11.03 mn by the end of 2021, an increase of EGP46.77 mn.
