EGP index increased 0.6 points over a week recording on 53.297 on Thursday

The Egyptian pound index increased 0.6 points against the major of currencies over the week where it rose to 53.297, compared to 52.848 points at last Thursday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index increased against 4 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It rose against the Euro, Chinese yuan, Japanese Yen, Pound Sterling and settled against the, UAE Dirham, US dollar, Saudi riyal.

The average selling rate of the Euro in Egypt fell from EGP 33.82 to EGP 33.45 over the week's trading, while the average buying rate decreased from EGP 33.70 to EGP 33.33

The average rate of the Pound Sterling in Egypt fell from EGP 39.00 to EGP 38.46 in today's dealings, while the average buying price decreased from EGP 38.86 to EGP 38.33

The average rate of the Japanese yen in Egypt decreased from EGP 23.04 to EGP 22.44 while the buying rate fell from EGP 22.97 to EGP 22.37

The average rate of the Chinese Yuan in Egypt Fell from EGP 4.45to EGP 4.40, while the buying rate fell from EGP 4.44 to EGP 4.38.

The average selling rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt   settled at EGP 8.24 at the end of the day's trading, while buying price settled at EGP 8.22at the week's trading

The average selling rate of the US dollar in Egypt settled at EGP30.93 and EGP 30.83 for buying at the week's trading.

The average selling rate of the UAE dirham in Egypt settled at EGP 8.42, while buying price settled at EGP 8.39at the week's trading
