EGP index losses 0.328 points over a week recording 53.969 on Thursday

The Egyptian pound index declined 0.328 points against the major currencies over the week where it fell to 53.969, compared to 54.297 points a week earlier.

The Egyptian pound index fell against 5 major currencies among a basket of seven currencies that measures the performance of the pound.

It fell against the Saudi Dollar, US dollar the, the Euro and the Japanese Yen the UAE Dirham,it rose against Pound Sterling and Chinese yuan.

The average selling rate of the US dollar in Egypt rose from EGP30.75 to EGP 30.93 in the week's trading, while the average Buying price rose from EGP 30.65 to EGP 30.83

The average selling rate of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 32.67 to EGP 32.68 over the week's trading, while the average buying rate rose from EGP 32. 55 to EGP 32.58.

The average selling rate of the Saudi riyal in Egypt rose from EGP 8.19 at the end of last Wednesday trading to EGP 8.24 on Thursday, while the buying price rose from EGP 8.16 to  EGP 8.24.

The average selling rate of the UAE dirham in Egypt rose from 8.37 pounds to EGP 8.42 at the end of the day's trading, while buying price increased from EGP8.34 to EGP 8.39.

The average rate of the Chinese Yuan in Egypt fell from EGP 4.45 pounds to EGP 4.44, while the buying rate fell from EGP 4.43 to EGP 4.42

The average rate of the Pound Sterling in Egypt fell from EGP 36.84 to EGP 36.77 in today's dealings, while the average buying price fell from EGP 36.71 to EGP 36.64

The average rate of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 22.53 pounds to EGP 22.69, while the buying rate increased from EGP 22.45 to EGP 22.61.
