The Egyptian pound index declined 1.6548 points against the major currencies over the week where it fell to 54.656, compared to 65.311 points a week earlier.

The Egyptian pound index declines against a basket of seven major currencies that measures the performance of the pound. It fell against the Saudi Dollar, US dollar the Chinese yuan, the Euro and the UAE Dirham, Pound Sterling and the Japanese Yen.

The average selling rate of the US dollar in Egypt rose from EGP29.92to EGP 30.31 in the week's trading, while the average Buying price rose from EGP 29.82 to EGP 30.21

The average selling rate of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 32.52 to EGP 33.32 over the week's trading, while the average buying rate rose from EGP 32.41 to EGP 33.21.

The average rate  of the Saudi riyal in Egypt rose from EGP 7.97 at the end of last Wednesday trading to EGP 8.07 on Thursday, while the buying price rose from EGP 7.94 to  EGP 8.05.

The average selling rate of the UAE dirham in Egypt rose from 8.14 pounds to 8.25 pounds at the end of the day's trading, while buying price increased from 8.12 pounds to 8.22 pounds

The average rate of the Chinese Yuan in Egypt rose from EGP 4.41 pounds to EGP 4.50, while the buying rate increased from EGP 4.39 to EGP 4.49

 

The average rate of the Pound Sterling in Egypt increased from EGP 36.85 to EGP 37.33 in today's dealings, while the average buying price increased from EGP 36.73 to EGP 37.21

The average rate of the Japanese yen in Egypt rose from EGP 23.06 pounds to EGP 23.62, while the buying rate increased from EGP 22.98 to EGP 23.54
