Suez Canal Bank, saib, and Crédit Agricole bank, Fastest-growing listed banks in terms of Deposit portfolio during Q1-2023

According to First Bank list of the fastest-growing listed banks in terms of total customer deposits in the first quarter of the current year, Suez Canal Bank topped the list with a growth rate of 14.83%. Total customer deposits increased from EGP 65.803 bn at the end of December 2022 to EGP 75.559 bn at the end of March 2023.

saib came second with a growth rate of 14.20% in its total customer deposit portfolio during the first quarter of the current year, reaching EGP 83.376 bn at the end of March 2023, compared to EGP 73.006 bn at the end of December 2022.

Crédit Agricole Egypt ranked third with a growth rate of 12.18% during the first quarter of the current year. Its total customer deposit portfolio reached EGP 67.862 bn at the end of March 2023, compared to EGP 60.493 bn at the end of December 2022.

EGBANK came in fourth place with a growth rate of 11.07% during the first quarter of the current year. Its total customer deposit portfolio moved from EGP 71.723 bn at the end of December 2022 to EGP 79.663 bn at the end of March 2023.

EBank ranked fifth after its total customer deposit portfolio increased by a growth rate of 10.25% during the first quarter of the current year, reaching EGP 80.323 bn at the end of March 2023, compared to EGP 72.854 bn at the end of December 2022.

It should be noted that all the values and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are based on separate financial statements announced for each bank by end of March 2023.
