CAPMAS: Annual inflation rate rises to 38.2% by July -2023end

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced an increase in the annual inflation rate of commodity prices in the entire republic during the past July to 38.2%, compared to 14.6% in the same month of 2022.

The main reasons for this increase are attributed to the rise in prices of fruit group by 12.5%, sugar and sugary foods group by 2.7%, coffee, tea, and cocoa group by 2.6%, the mineral water, soft drinks, and natural juices group by 2.3%, and the tobacco group by 8.0%.

The prices of meat and poultry group also increased by 0.8%, fish and seafood group by 1.4%, dairy, cheese, and eggs group by 3.8%.
