CAPMAS: Annual inflation rate rises to 36.8% by June-2023end

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced an increase in the annual inflation rate of commodity prices in the entire republic during the past June to 36.8%, compared to 14.7% in the same month of 2022.
The main reasons for this increase are attributed to the rise in prices of meat and poultry group by 3.3%, fish and seafood group by 2.9%, dairy, cheese, and eggs group by 0.4%, and oils and fats group by 0.2%.
The prices of the fruit group also increased by 5.7%, sugar and sugary foods group by 1.4%, coffee, tea, and cocoa group by 4.4%, the mineral water, soft drinks, and natural juices group by 3.3%, and the tobacco group by 18.4%.
Furthermore, CAPMAS added that the prices of the fabrics group increased by 2.1%, the ready-made clothing group by 2.1%, cleaning, repair, and clothing rental group by 2.1%, the footwear group by 1.4%, and the shoe repair group by 1.2%.
The actual cost of housing rental increased by 0.6%, the maintenance and repair of housing group by 2%, household appliances group by 4.9%, glassware, tableware, and home utensils group by 2.9%, the purchase of vehicles group by 1.6%, and the transportation services group by 0.5%.
