CIB Foundation and Magrabi Charity Foundation Join Forces to Restore Vision for Vulnerable Children

Commercial International Bank (CIB) Foundation has signed a cooperation agreement with  Magrabi Charity Foundation to contribute to funding corrective and vision restoration surgeries for the most vulnerable children in Magrabi Eye Hospitals and Centers.

The total donation provided by the CIB Foundation amounts to approximately EGP10 mn, aiming to perform corrective and vision restoration surgeries for about 1000 children in need within Magrabi Eye Hospitals and Centers, according to the signed cooperation protocol between the two institutions.

Representatives from CIB, including Sherif Saad , Director of CIB Foundation, Dina Ahmed, Senior Programs Planner at CIB Foundation, Lujine Hussein, Senior Programs Planner at CIB Foundation, Irinie Safwat, Programs Planner at CIB Foundation, and Hisham Samir, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at CIB Foundation, attended the agreement signing.

From Magrabi Charity Foundation, attendees included Mohamed Shalaby, Executive Director, Gamal Ezz El Arab, Medical Director, Omar Hisham Safa, Operations and Projects Director, Hussein Al-Azireen, Financial Director, and Nermine El-Bahtimy, Coordination and Monitoring Director. Amr Salem, Marketing and Communication Director, was also present.

Sherif saad stated that the foundation hopes to heal all children in various parts of Egypt and the world, continuing its societal role by donating support and funding to urgently contribute to the recovery of the most vulnerable children, especially those suffering from serious diseases that could impact their entire lives in the future.

He emphasized that vision problems and eye diseases are among the most serious challenges any individual can face, and the situation becomes even more critical when it concerns children. Prompt treatment is necessary to prevent their entire lives from being affected. 

Hence, the urgent collaboration with one of the leading institutions in the field of ophthalmology, Magrabi Foundation, to expedite financial support for the treatment and recovery of 1000 children in need of saving their eyesight.

Dr. Mohamed Shalaby, the Executive Director of the Magrabi Charity Foundation, highlighted that this joint collaboration between  Magrabi Charity Foundation and the Commercial International Bank Foundation is one of the most important agreements that will contribute to achieving the foundation's vision in a world where comprehensive eye health is accessible without discrimination.
