The Central Bank of Egypt and the Ministry of Social Solidarity have signed a cooperation protocol to implement the national financial inclusion strategy.

Marvet Sabreen, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity for Social Protection and Safety Networks, announced the signing of the protocol with the Central Bank of Egypt to execute the national financial inclusion strategy in Egypt.

She mentioned that an executive plan for the strategy is currently being developed. This was revealed during her speech at Arab Conference on Savings and Financial Culture in the Middle East and North Africa, held in Egypt from October 10 to 12.

Currently, a training program is being prepared in collaboration with CBE to train 15,000 entrepreneurs affiliated with the Ministry of Social Solidarity on how to benefit from financial and banking services.

They aim to train around 3 million families and 350,000 young individuals. Additionally, a cooperation protocol will soon be signed between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Financial Regulatory Authority to explore non-banking financial services.
