Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 9 November with Increase in the market cap by 2.80% to record EGP 390.989 bn compared to EGP 380.354 bn Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.94% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 531.534 mn which represents 12.01% of the total trading volume today after 12.799 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.96% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.36% and 24.543 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.1% to record 4.701 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.11% to record 6.991 points.
