Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 14 September with Increase in the market cap by 1.19% to record EGP 311.582 bn compared to EGP 307.931 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.93% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 378.268 mn which represents 18.72% of the total trading volume today after 9.134 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.32% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Decrease and turnover amounted EGP 105 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.92% and 19.640 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.69% to record 3.840 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.73 % to record 5.654 points.
