Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 22 June with decrease in the market cap by 0.29% or EGP 281.161 billion compared to EGP 281.976 billion at yesterday 's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.76% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 296.210 million which represents 16.43% of the total trading volume today after 10.724 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.14% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 35.9 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.04% at 17.720 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.80% to record 3.573 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.41% to record 5.271points.
