The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 8 June with increase in the market cap by 0.95% or EGP 279.832 billion compared to EGP 277.194 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.91% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 317.993 million which represents 13.41% of the total trading volume today after 7.381 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.75% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 22.1 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1% at 17.521 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.12% to record 3.763 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.30% to record 5.449 points.
