Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 30 March with increase in the market cap by 0.91% or EGP 258.685 billion compared to EGP 256.345 billion at the end of yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 268.216 million which represents 14.32% of the total trading volume today after 7.612 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.85% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 52 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.04% at 16.644 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 1.13% to record 2.853 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 1.09%to record 4.309 points.
