The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 13 April with Increase in the market cap by 11.81% or EGP 283.528 billion compared to EGP 253.584 billion at the end yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.94% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 346.288 million which represents 19.86% of the total trading volume today after 8.021 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.37% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX70 Only and turnover amounted EGP 151.6 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 5.55% at 17.671 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.14% to record 2.981 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.43% to record 4.495 points.
