The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 2 March with decreased in the market cap by 1.72% or EGP 278.190 billion compared to EGP 283.054 billion at the end Wednesday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.17% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 597.432 million which represents 28.34% of the total trading volume today after 13.316 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.78% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreases and turnover amounted EGP 127.5 million on shares.

The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increased by 1.61% at 17.183 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.03% to record 3.076 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declines by 0.25% to record 4.568 points.
