Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 25 May with Increase in the market cap by 0.09% or EGP 271.304 billion compared to EGP 271.073 billion at the end yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.99% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 222.898 million which represents 13.50% of the total trading volume today after 6.312 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.96% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 6.1 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.27% at 17.240 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.56% to record 3.102 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.34% to record 4.673points.
