The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 11 May with decrease in the market cap by 0.12 % or EGP 267.295 billion compared to EGP 267.629 billion at the end yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.34% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 392.727 million which represents 18.62% of the total trading volume today after 8.928 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.36% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 238 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.28% at 17.556 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.40% to record 3.079 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.03% to record 4.670points.
