Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 1 June with decrease in the market cap by 1.79% or EGP 272.473 billion compared to EGP 277.431 billion at the end of yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.22% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 206.150 million which represents 9.64% of the total trading volume today after 6.794 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.74% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 36 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.21% at 17.628 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.22% to record 3.304 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.08% to record 4.951 points.
