Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 13 July with increase in the market cap by 0.69% to record EGP 276.209 billion compared to EGP 274.305 billion at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.96% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 189.212 million which represents 13.49% of the total trading volume today after 5.646 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.16% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 7.5 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30”rose by 1.16% at 17.448 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 3.434% to record 3.434 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.99% to record 5.096 points.
