Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Thursday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Thursday 15 June with increase in the market cap by 2.88% or EGP 280.845 billion compared to EGP 272970 billion at the end of yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.39% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 158.343 million which represents 8.30% of the total trading volume today after 4.011 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.50% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 1.9 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.05% at 17.892 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 1.04% to record 3.516 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.82% to record 5.222points.
